Job Abstract

We are assisting a large private, non-profit behavioral healthcare organization in Los Angeles County, CA in its search for a full-time Clinical Director (Licensed Psychologist).  The Clinical Director oversees aspects of an inpatient psychiatric hospital and provides input and guidance to the unit’s and agency’s psychology, psychiatry, nursing, and other staff. The position also provides clinical consultation to the agency’s mental health, SUD, and other services. This is a senior management leadership position that reports directly to the CEO.

Qualified candidates will be a licensed California psychologist with both clinical and research work experience and background. Knowledge of substance use disorders (SUD) is required. The employer provides whole-person, trauma-informed care with the full continuum of substance use and mental health services, along with integrated primary care, specialty services, housing, enhanced case management, and more. The right applicant will have sufficient clinical research experience to serve as the site principal investigator of a NIDA-funded Clinical Trials Network (CTN) study. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, APA-approved internship programs, and credentialing is desirable.
