Perioperative Services Nurse Educator - Southern California Hospital

A renowned hospital in Southern California is seeking an experienced Perioperative Services Nurse Educator to join their advanced surgical team. This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and a competitive salary in the Los Angeles area.

Surgical Services Nurse Educator Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive education and training to perioperative nursing staff across 12 state-of-the-art operating suites
• Implement evidence-based practices to ensure highest standards of patient care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and nursing professionals
• Develop educational programs for cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, general, open-heart, ENT and vascular surgeries
• Promote minimally invasive surgical techniques when appropriate
• Work closely with clinical educators to advance nursing excellence

Requirements:

• Active CA RN license required, BSN required, MSN preferred
• In-depth knowledge of perioperative nursing practices
• Excellent teaching/training abilities
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

This acute care hospital offers a supportive environment with tenured nursing leadership. The Surgery Nurse Educator will work alongside a fully staffed Perioperatitve leadership team. The Operating Room Educator will report to the Director of Perioperative Services. The CNOR prepared Educator will be part of a surgical department that has an Operating Room Nurse Manager, PACU Nurse Manager and Sterile process Manager.
