Responsibilities
· Assist experienced tool makers in the design, fabrication, and maintenance of various tools, dies, and molds used in manufacturing processes
· Learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
· Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
· Develop proficiency in metal cutting, grinding, polishing, and finishing techniques
· Participate in the troubleshooting and problem-solving of tool-related issues
· Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols
· Demonstrate a willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
· Train to set-up and program CNC Mill and Lathes
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents
· Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
· Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
· Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
As a Tool Maker Apprentice, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced tool makers. This includes:
