Education and Years of Experience:
The Publications Web Support Lead is responsible for the management and coordination of Web Support activities. The Web Support Lead must demonstrate expert (a minimum of 5 years) experience and/or knowledge related to:
- Diagnosing user agent detection issues.
- Submitting patches that fix issues in open-source web frameworks.
- Creating tools to assist in understanding compatibility issues.
- Thinking critically about the best way to push the web forward.
- Becoming proficient with the current code base, multiple languages (JS, Python, C++), and development tools as well as leading the project in adopting new technologies.
- Proposing, designing, and implementing industry-leading solutions for implementing browser-based solutions across a broad array of devices.
- Participating in and contributing to the planning process for new features and projects.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
- Proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks and driving data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with database management systems and information strategy development.
- Proficiency in risk management, technology evaluation, and performance metrics establishment.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years experience in web systems environments which include web application installations, upgrades and deployment of servers/systems that support/host web applications.
