Job Abstract

The Marketing Assistant is an entry-level position in the Marketing Department. The Marketing Assistant provides general support to the department and gets hands-on experience in all aspects of the marketing process including: branch merchandise, PR, social media, events, and CRM.
Essential Duties
Provides general support to F&M Bank's Marketing Department. Assists with periodic merchandising of Branch Offices throughout Long Beach, South Bay, and Orange County to ensure timeliness and consisten... more detailscy of marketing materials. Assists with administrative tasks such as performing data entry, making copies, preparing and distributing mail, and maintaining Compliance tracking documentation. Supports public relations and social media, e.g. content creation, scheduling, research, etc. Provides support for Bank-sponsored events such as preparation, set-up, assembly, break-down, deliveries, etc. Supports ongoing CRM efforts e.g. daily Synapsys entries, daily client/prospect research, monthly reporting, periodic report auditing/validation, and keeping user guides up-to-date. Provides quality internal customer service consistent with the standards of the Marketing department and F&M Bank values, policies and procedures. Performs all duties in compliance with laws, regulations, Farmers & Merchants Bank policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of Farmers & Merchants Bank information. Performs other duties as needed by the Department Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned. Required Knowledge The Marketing Assistant should have a general working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, including privacy and information security, applicable in the marketing of the Bank's products and services. Basic Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient using technology including Microsoft Office and internet applications, etc. Effective communication skills (listens, speaks, and writes well); able to interact effectively and respectfully with people of various responsibility and authority (employees, key contacts, executives, etc.), including supervisors and co-workers. Extreme attention to detail. Dedicated to following and maintaining deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize projects accordingly.
