Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern for Summer 2024 to join our Long Beach, CA office. Responsibilities
The individual will work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, site development, drainage systems, passenger and freight rail facilities. Working under the direction of a licensed civil engineer, assignments may include engineering calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and preparation of contract plans for a variety of project types and clients.
Required Skills & Required Experience
Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation)
Academic emphasis or demonstrated interest in Transportation engineering
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD) is preferred
Proficiency in MS Office software
Desire to work in a team environment
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred
*The hourly range for this position is $16.20-$27.20.
