Essential Job Functions

You will provide daily human resources support to Hazen's West Regions, maybe called to support the other regions. Oversee the day-to-day administration and execution of human resources policies and programs such as onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and recruitment. Work closely with assigned Hiring Managers to support hiring initiatives. Manage the employee orientation and various onboarding processes. Advise Managers on the interpretation of policies and procedures. Provide counsel to managers on moderately complex employee relations issues, providing guidance in difficult conversations with employees. File and track employee leave programs including workers compensation, short-term disability, FMLA and ADA - Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data trends. Effectively utilize the HRIS to obtain and analyze pertinent data and information. Conduct due diligence to ensure leave of absence approvals and disciplinary action is consistent with company policy. Performs special assignments related to strategic projects, goals, and objectives in support of the firm's mission, vision, and values. Keep current with changes in regulatory compliance. Education and Experience Required:BA/ BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, preferably in a Professional Services Industry. Minimum 5 years of focused relevant experience as Generalist. Practical knowledge of federal and California employment laws. Multi-State HR experience highly preferred. Excellent communicator and exercises good judgement. Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Multistate labor law experience is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to effectively interact, communicate and consult with multiple levels of management on a consistent basis. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Experience with HRIS; Workforce ADP strongly preferred, SharePoint, and Deltek Vision a plus. Our base full-time annual salary range is $80,000 - $90,000. Starting salary will be based on relevant experience, education, geographic location, internal equity and market conditions.
