Join us in our transformation journey and help our customers interface with cutting edge time and payroll products. In this role, you will provide leadership, technology design expertise, direction, coordination, and consultation, in the development, integration, launch, scaling, and maintenance of new and existing products and solutions. You will promote use of innovative new technology and best practices for product and solution development initiatives. You will influence and govern current and strategic architectural blueprints. You identify key application design patterns and standard application frameworks. You will establish the strategic direction for application development approaches, including tools, process and frameworks.

Every day, you will promote architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency aligned with business strategy. Each day, you will start with a scrum and identify priorities within the current sprint or discuss a new project. Then you'll create designs to guide the developers while they code what you design. If something is particularly critical, you may have to roll up your sleeves and code. As the team lead, you'll communicate and collaborate with your team and cross-functionally, acting as the technical reference.

To thrive in this role, you have 10+ years hands on experience developing and architecting high volume systems. You’ll have expertise with front end and back end development. Our best developers are creative problem solvers who love a challenge. If you get stuck, you find a workaround and keep going. You never give up. This role requires you to have clear, compelling, and influential communication skills to succeed. You will constantly mentor developers and collaborate with peer architects on other teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You will also participate in other agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, where you will present your work to up to 90 stakeholders.
• Build teams that thrive. As an experienced leader, you want everyone to shine. You'll start each day by checking in with your engineering team to identify priorities and challenges. You'll find a way to make the team's day go smoother. You are constantly looking for ways to share your knowledge, motivate others and keep everyone engaged and productive.

• Build Products. You will use your technical expertise to review your team's work and help your people excel in an Agile environment. You're proactive and hands-on. When you see a potential issue, you never leave things hanging and unfinished. When you and your team deliver a finished product, it's as polished as you could make it.

• Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team in India one minute, meeting with leadership to review initiatives for the coming quarter later and tomorrow handling a few ad hoc requests from your peers in other departments.
• Influence and inspire confidence. You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, product owners, and peers with a compelling voice that you demonstrate through executive presence, leading change, and creating clear executive-level communications on milestone achievements.
• You have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.

• 10+ years hands on experience developing and architecting high volume systems .
• Drive and own modern Front End methodology and practice throughout the team.
• Plan, architect and develop technical direction of Front End technology and component stack.
• Champion and deliver great user experience Work with close cross-functional alignment with designers, fellow engineers, and the product and business stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on technical options and help select the right technology for each task.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts and microservices
• Expert knowledge of :

• Hands on experience developing client-side applications using Angular, React, or Stencil (Web Components)
• Deep experience with GraphQL.
• Strong proficiency in Type Script, Java Script, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience in Java programming and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud Data Flow etc)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs design and implementation
• Experience in working with AWS cloud technologies
• Event sourcing and distributed message systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• RDBS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL data stores and polyglot persistence (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, CouchDB)
• Build tools and dependency management (Maven, npm bower, grunt, gulp)
• Fluent in test automation and continuous integration.
• Understanding of the testing pyramid (unit, functional, integration, system, API testing) and testing approaches TDD, BDD
  • Experience with Agile / SCRUM methodology for product development
• Experience working in SaaS environment
• Conduct rigorous system testing and troubleshooting to optimize the performance of digital solutions.

• 10+ years of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience
• Experience creating responsive designs (Bootstrap, mobile, etc.)
• Experience with unit and automation testing (Jasmine, Protractor, Junit, Zest, Cypress.io, Playwright)
• Comfortable to operate in an agile, dynamic environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
