Job Summary	Employs a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to plan, coordinate and conduct applied research and technical assistance projects in areas related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, racial and social justice, and public policy and management. Engages in project planning, development, coordination and management, along with research activities that entails design, performing and overseeing data collection and analysis, ensuring data integrity, quality control and protocol compliance. Facilitates The Diversity Institute (TDI) workshops and works on program and project planning and management. Writes statistical and narrative reports, researches external funding opportunities. Assists with grant and funding proposal writing. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications	Master’s degree in a social science or related field. Five (5) years of experience in social science research, research design, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data collection, database design, and report writing. OR PhD in social science, human services, or related field with research experience including research design, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data collection, and data management.
Preferred Qualifications	Experience addressing issues relative to racial and social equity, diversity and inclusion. Experience working with diverse and underrepresented individuals and underserved communities. Working knowledge of institutional information requirements in higher education. Working knowledge of Ohio Board of Regents, government reporting requirements. Experience using Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, i.e. PeopleSoft.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)	Demonstrated analytical skills in researching and interpreting data. Strong knowledge in quantitative research methods and use of various statistical software i.e. SAS, SPSS, STATA. Experience with relational databases and database development. Working knowledge in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data mapping. Experience with Structured query language (SQL). Ability to manage and coordinate simultaneous, high level and visibility projects. Ability to be proactive and collaborative, think critically and make decisions independently. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
