DESCRIPTION
Were looking for an analytical Sr. Business Affairs Lead to join our team in Culver City, Los Angeles supporting teams across the US, LatAm and the EU. The position will lead and support licensing negotiations and strategy for our live-streaming and merchandising businesses.
The Sr. Business Affairs Lead will have 7+ years of work experience in a content acquisition, business development, or related role, and will be someone with an interest in building on existing licensing and negotiation experience. Knowledge of sound recordings and music publishing licensing a plus.
Key job responsibilities - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key record labels, promoters and artist representatives - Negotiate license agreements to secure necessary rights from record labels and artists, and expand existing agreements as needed - Collaborate with the legal team to create and review contractual terms to address licensing and business needs - Perform analysis to quantify the impact of royalty rates and other terms - Audit business metrics, perform deep dive analysis on problems to understand root causes and make decisions supported by data - Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Amazon Musics strategy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of entertainment industry deal negotiation experience - Experience negotiating complex agreements with a firm understanding of legal terminology and reasoning - Experience in content negotiation, acquisition, business development or related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- J.D., or MBA - Bias for action; ability to manage multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment - Experience in music licensing, merchandising rights or music livestreaming - Experience in writing detailed and data-supported documents - Demonstrated business judgment and ability to think and act both strategically and tactically - Ability to develop ideas independently and navigate ambiguity

The base pay for this position ranges from $115,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,000/year in our highest geographic market.
