Job Summary
Under the direction of the Educational Services Sr. Director, the Reading Specialist provides high quality instruction, support, and leadership in order to produce positive outcomes in the area of Reading and Literacy. The Reading Specialist will provide reading instruction and support in small-groups and individual settings, assess students’ reading skills in order to individualize instruction and measure growth, and collaborate with the site administrator and teachers to determine placement and improve the program model.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A. Possession of a California clear multiple or single subject teaching credential
B. Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred
C. CLAD required
E. BCLAD preferred
E. Three or more years of successful teaching experience
F. Successful curriculum leadership experience
