Job Description:
The Provost Office and Compliance Manager provides administrative support for the Office of the Provost and remain in compliance with state authorization.
Work Location: Both Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles) and Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles)
Start Date: Immediately

Salary Rate Range: $5,546.66-$5,990.40
Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate's qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the Provost's office in performing various essential general office duties, projects and assignments
- Receives incoming phone calls and route messages, send and receive emails, schedule meetings and maintain calendars, distribute mail and complete Xeroxing requests
- Performs word processing, data processing, data entry duties, and maintain an electronic workflow system
- Attends and take minutes at various University meetings
- Assists in maintaining confidential personnel files
- Ensures the University remains compliant for state authorization
- Ensures the University's compliance with MSMU's state authorizations, state VA approval agency applications, and disclosures
- Provides point-of-contact leadership and customer service to internal and external stakeholders as well as designated state agencies
- Manages data, documentation, and communication required for state authorization compliance
- Analyzes, interprets, and provides guidance related to regulations and policy related to state authorization and professional licensure requirements for ongoing organizational compliance and in response to specific inquiries posed by business partners
- Provides support to teams responsible for resolving student issues related to licensure issues
- Assists the Assistant Provost with Assessment work
- Assists with faculty contracts and new hire onboarding as needed
- Assists in preparation of WSCUC documents. Grant proposals, and related documents
- Assists with various external requests (e.g. unemployment claims and verification of employment)
- Assists with annual reports, such as IPEDS, AAUP, and WSCUC
- Assists with on-campus conference/forums
- Assists with event planning, preparation and execution, including the New Faculty Orientation, Academic Symposium, etc.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help coordinate logistics, food, speakers, etc for special occasions
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Strong working knowledge of an office environment, policies and procedures, the English language and alpha numeric filing systems
- Proficient working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Powerpoint
- General knowledge of the foundations of employment law
Abilities and Skills:
- Effectively organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet establish deadlines
- Analytical, detail-oriented and accurate
- Perform difficult office and clerical work with speed and accuracy
- Build rapport and effectively communicate with a wide variety of people
- Able to maintain confidentiality
Education:
Experience:
- One year of secretarial/clerical experience working in an academic or related environment
