Job Description
We are on an exciting journey to transform our business process and technology footprint leveraging SAP S/4 HANA here at NBCUniversal! We are just at the start of this journey and are looking to hire a leader to help drive our S/4 Finance and Source to Pay transformation. The VP, SAP S/4 Finance and Source to Pay is a key leadership role within the NBCU Operations & Technology organization, reporting directly to the SVP, Enterprise Product, Finance and Source to Pay. This leader will be responsible for leading our SAP S/4 transformation from O&T. They will play a significant part in the definition and implementation of an over-arching Finance application strategy, including SAP S/4 solution design, code block design, global process template design across record to report, accounts payable and accounts receivables process areas, SAP solution architecture, strategy and roadmap development, application services contract management.
The successful candidate will perform work that is highly complex, varied in nature, and span multiple functional areas. This individual will also seek to ensure the optimum utilization of existing system platforms and their integration while considering and / or facilitating the justified deployment of new technologies in response to business requirements. As a VP, this role will be responsible for designing complex SAP solutions and guiding configuration and functional design while leading a team of functional team members, SIs and and managed services provider in the finance and source to pay portfolios. Primary responsibilities will include:
Lead NBCU’s transformation to S/4 HANA.
Develop strong relationships with senior business stakeholders (VP/SVP+), and work cohesively with them to drive the Finance and Source to pay S/4 vision and deployment.
Manage a large internal and SI team, while being the single point of contact for all escalation resolution within O&T.
Understand NBCU business processes requirements by engaging with business partners at enterprise and division level.
Craft adaptable, comprehensive, and feasible SAP solutions by creating necessary blueprint documents for functional requirements and technical specifications.
Design functional solutions to solve business problems and needs.
Ensure agreement on design with process owners.
Review Finance design recommendations to ensure quality and consistency across the Global Finance footprint.
Lead SAP Finance Initiatives, which include but are not limited to, General ledger processing, accounts receivable and payable, revenue recognition, fixed assets, cost reporting and Intercompany transfers.
Perform fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and SAP team members.
Advise on solution roadmap for SAP projects considering current footprint.
Review and/or participate in solution build and test activities on SAP implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects; may be asked to step in to conduct project management activities from time to time.
Lead end-to-end implementations plus engage as solution architect simultaneously with other SAP projects that are in progress. This requires cross technical/functional team project management.
Effectively delegate responsibilities to team members, provide them with repeatable processes, and verify the quality of their work.
Review work performed by other team members as per established standards.
Review current standards and revise to ensure best practices.
Serve as the conduit between engagement team, business, and engineering.
Assist in hiring SAP related resources, vendor selection, product selection, strategy related to SAP solutions.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent.
10+ years of progressive SAP experience leading up to Delivery Lead/Executive Sponsor level in a consultative and/or IT capacity.
Demonstrable experience leading at least 3-5 SAP project implementations of high complexity, large scale and global user base; one of which must be an S/4 implementation.
Demonstrable experience leading large SAP Finance initiatives along with proven experience with leading large S/4 HANA transformations.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience with Intercompany and Intracompany eliminations.
Ability to translate complex strategies and roadmaps into executive friendly content and message.
Experience with direct management of a team (Contractors and/or Staff).
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 Finance (FICO, controlling, AR, AP, AA, reporting) and Source to Pay business processes.
Experience with deploying SAP Ariba (our Coupa), SAP Fieldglass and contract lifecycle management tools is a huge plus.
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud, Anaplan, Hyperion, Group Reporting, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass etc.
Ability to craft executive level presentations, present in program steer cos to executive board level.
Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills.
Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT.
Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge.
Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture.
Adherence to IT/SAP project methodologies, and change control processes.
Familiarity and comfort in working in an outsourced module with onshore and offshore resources.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
