Job Description
Maintain, repair, and install kitchen equipment and systems in kitchens, pantry, and restaurants throughout the facility to ensure safe and proper operation.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and record keeping on kitchen systems, sub-systems and equipment, including disassembling, replacing, cleaning and repairing.
Operate, repair, maintain and trouble shoot kitchen equipment in accordance with kitchen diagrams, schematics, operation manuals and manufacturers maintenance instructions, using test equipment used to perform function of position.
Install new equipment and upgrade controls of existing equipment.
Maintain kitchen fixtures throughout the Hotel by replacing broken or make necessary repairs/replacement to fixtures on a routine and regular basis to sustain kitchen standards.
Set up/breakdown of equipment needed to perform job function.
Maintain complete knowledge and comply with Hotel policies and departmental policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of Hotel facilities.
Qualifications
Essential:
High school graduate.
Ability to clearly communicate with proper grammar in English with guest/visitor and Hotel personnel to their understanding.
Ability to provide legible communication.
Two (2) years kitchen mechanic experience.
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
Knowledge of Kitchen Equipment major brands such as Kinter, Imperial, Southbend, Blodgett, Southbend…
Knowledge of SafLok Key System & Dormakaba Key System.
Knowledge of LodgeNet TV System.Desirable:

Some college education.
Previous Hotel experience.
