As the Wellness Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive wellness program that addresses the diverse needs of Department of Corrections (DOC) staff, which includes State Correctional Institutions (SCIs), Parole Field Services (PFS), and the Bureau of Community Corrections (BCC). This work involves developing and supporting critical and research-established dimensions of wellness such as emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, and social. You will also chair the DOC monthly staff wellness committee, collaborate with the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and C.O.V.E.R., and assist in the coordination of a peer support program for the DOC.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to coordinate wellness events, challenges, presentations, and other educational efforts to engage staff and create a sense of community. Events and initiatives shall be creative and inclusive to accommodate diverse interests and preferences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Statewide travel is required.
  
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week, based upon operational needs and obligations. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or
• Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

• You must possess a valid driver's license.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
