About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team in Cambridge, MD. The Quality Supervisor will oversee a team of QA technicians responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality across our aseptic and ready-to-drink production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Lead and supervise a team of QA technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, equipment, and finished products to identify and address any quality issues or deviations.
- Oversee quality assurance activities specific to aseptic and ready-to-drink production lines, including monitoring sterilization processes, product filling, packaging, and labeling.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic processing requirements, including environmental monitoring, sterilization validation, and aseptic technique training.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities, including test results, inspection reports, corrective actions, and production data.
- Generate regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators, and communicate findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains within the quality assurance function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and other quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety, quality assurance, and aseptic processing.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements, as well as customer specifications and internal policies.
Important Details: This is a full-time role, on-site in Cambridge, MD. This role is designed to focus on shift and vacation coverage, so hours may vary between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in our 24/5 operation.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, HACCP principles, GMPs, and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with aseptic processing techniques, including sterilization methods, cleanroom protocols, and environmental monitoring.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
