As Controller – Clean Energy, you will play a pivotal role, as part of the B&W’s Clean Energy leadership team, in a variety of challenging projects and the delivery of effective accounting processes and controls that support business objectives and operational needs.
This individual will manage the Clean Energy related financial aspects of activities initiatives, and projects. The Controller will act as the finance lead for Clean Energy and the "go-to" person for any finance-related questions, concerns, or issues. Also, conducts analysis and develops recommendations on business decisions, analytical processes, and process improvements.
Work closely with Clean Energy Finance & Segment leaders, and other key business leaders, to provide support and drive financial objectives, make recommendations to support development of the company’s overall business strategy and act as a true business partner to the client’s leadership
Manage the month-end accounting close, ensuring accurate and timely results that are in accordance with accounting and finance requirements, review and analyze internal financial data to identify issues, opportunities, and trends to provide business owners and senior leaders with financial data that will support decision making
Install and maintain a proper control environment and culture to limit business risk and exposures.
Support BU finance teams with regards to providing data for month-end performance analysis
Connect with the regional controllers on complex matters pertaining to entity financial reporting documents and other local filings, audit requests, etc.
Lead people to implement change through coaching, training, and clear objective setting to meet the company’s short-term needs and long-term goals

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
Master's degree or CPA, CMA, CFE, CIA preferred
7 years of proven experience as a controller or similar roles, preferably in a global company.
Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial legislation, and regulatory standards. Experienced with general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, ability to build relationships and foster trust at all organizational levels
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working with large ERP systems and advanced technical skills
