The Manager, Finance Contracts at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital establishes and oversees processes for finalizing and executing various contracts, oversees contract filing and management. Prepares and disseminates information to appropriate stakeholders regarding contract status and necessary contract updates, renewals, amendments and terminations. The Manager also oversees departmental purchase/service contracts, prepares proposals and pre-contract data collection.
- Develops and performs the end-to-end management of all contracts and agreement, including but not limited to Physician Professional Service Agreements, Vendor agreements for goods and services, equipment leases, staffing agreements, patient transfer agreements Associate Agreements, consulting services Agreements, School/Student Affiliation Agreements, and other agreements as may be requested.
- Responsible for contract fulfillment based on agreed terms of parties involved. Manages the adherence of specific terms, conditions, rights, and obligations as committed to by the parties involved. Coordinates contract changes; reviews amendments or contract extensions.
- Collaborates with the business owner to analyze estimates of material, equipment and/or costs.
- Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, department specifications, requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
- Negotiate and/or administor licensing agreements including renewal, new business, invoicing, credit holds, receivable issues, consolidations and contracts. Initiate the renewal and expiration of contracts within area of responsibility.
- Verifies all aspects of the request and agreement, including pricing, to ensure conformance with company policy while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness. Liaison with applicable technical, operations, finance or legal teams on matters requiring review.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders across the hospital and the system to structure contracts.
- Analyzes contracts, reviews/redlines contractual documents, terms, and conditions.
- Ensures compliance with system and facility policies, government specifications and conformance to customer service agreements (where applicable) and other requirements.
- Works with business owners to renew licenses for services rendered at the hospital, including, but not limited to the Hospital License, Pharmacy License, Lab License, Imaging License, Food Services license, Business license etc. including ensuring timeliness in application of the license and payment as needed.
Experience:
Five (5) years of Contract Administration / Contract Management, required.
Five (5) years of organizing and implementing simultaneous projects, required.
Five (5) years of previous experience with electronic contract management and/or contract storage/retention systems, required.
Two (2) years of management experience, required.
Two (2) years of previous experience with Healthcare/Hospital Compliance Programs, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Paralegal Certificate, preferred.
Contract Management Certificate, preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED, minimum
Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Business Law, Economics, Business Administration, or Construction Management, preferred.
