Job Goal: To manage enrollment of all entering students and families, verify residency, maintain records in the district databases; and to provide general office support with the school’s day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in secretarial or related field

Performance Responsibilities:
Responsible for the registration of all incoming preschool and kindergarten students
Responds to prospective new student/parent inquiries
Manages new student registration and records
Processes withdrawals of exiting students, forwards official records
Collaborates with the school nurse on incoming registrations
Coordinates with bus garage regarding transportation
Ensures that all student information fields are accurately recorded in the WPS databases
Collaborates with Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools to verify all residency issues
Ensures that all parents understand district systems, including Power School and Dismissal Manager
Completes monthly student population counts for district administration
Prepares state reports associated with enrollment
Notifies bus garage of student population changes
Shares information from parents and other school visitors with appropriate school personnel
Supervises the collection of attendance reports from the classroom teachers
Notifies appropriate staff of unexcused absences, prolonged absences, and absences due to communicable illness
Coordinates daily lunch counts with the cafeteria
Organizes daily student dismissal plans in School Dismissal Manager
Responsible for the personable, smooth, and efficient operation of Hurlbutt Elementary School Main Office
Fulfills other duties as assigned by the School Principal
