Position Description
The Buyside finance team is responsible for supplier profit analysis & reporting to the Product Strategy VP leadership team. This unique role will provide direct decision-making support for our Product Strategy & Supplier team and responsible for developing proactive solutions and impact to overall business. Additionally, this senior analyst will own performance and driver-based reporting to the VP leadership team while leading change in a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities including development of executive reporting, trend and variance analysis, and risks and opportunities
- Maintains active communications with key business partners and delivers financial presentations across multiple levels of leadership
- Develop partnerships and collaborate with business owners to improve financial projections and processes
- Leverages data to proactively identify, size and convey trends so action is prioritized appropriately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales finance and other business partners
- Support ad-hoc analytics or projects and strategic initiatives as needed
Minimum Requirements
5+ years in finance, accounting or similar experience
Critical Skills
- Prior experience performing budget, forecast, plan, variance analysis
- Strong analytical skills - ability to create, manipulate and analyze financial models
- Advanced skills in Excel (formulas, modeling, pivot tables) and SQL is a plus
- Motivated self-starter that is well organized, dependable, efficient and results oriented
- Demonstrated strong collaboration skills and ability to develop strong partnerships at multiple levels
- Executive presence and experience with presentations to various leadership levels
- Ability to provide strategic recommendations and influence stakeholders to make decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Work is accomplished without considerable direction
- Comfort working in business amidst ambiguity and transformational change
Additional Skills
- Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment
- Ability to collaborate with teams across multiple functions to affect a solution
- Ability to work with team and business partners across geographies
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase or SmartView, SQL a plus
Education
4-year degree required, MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
required
