JOB TITLE:Recovery Specialist III LOCATION: Cherry Hill Sobering
The Recovery Specialist III position is a key position in carrying out daily activities and establishing connections with program participants at the Sobering Center. The position is central to monitoring and maintaining organization, structure and safety for all staff, clients and community members arriving and or residing at the Sobering Center.

Accountabilities: (3-5)
Monitor and observe Sobering Center client behavior and activity to ensure clients are safe, accounted for and stable.
Must work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Sobering Center
Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all clients at all times.
Maintain facility cleanliness and organization daily
Provide assistance with transportation and emergency response
Responsibilities:
Monitor and observe Sobering Center client behavior and activity to ensure clients are safe, accounted for and stable.
Conducts property safety checks on client incoming property
Monitor daily bed roster and census to ensure client accountability with program requirements.
Assist with meal preparation and meal distribution daily.
Must work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Sobering Center
Communicate daily needs or observational concerns or impression to Health and or SUD staff.
Participate in daily shift change activity any concerns
Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all clients at all times.
De-escalate emotionally unstable client behavior
Provide orientation and overview for incoming clients
Attends to clients’ needs while maintaining daily activity schedule.
Maintain facility cleanliness and organization daily.
Monitoring cleanliness and performing needed cleanup duties.
Preparing bed rolls and basic hygienic items to all incoming clients
Replenish supplies as directed by Program Manager
Provide assistance with transportation and emergency response.
Transport clients to local facilities when needed
Respond to emergency needs as directed by Program Manager
Assist SUD or Health Center staff with referral and or transfer to continuing care.

Experience observing and monitoring SUD clients in a residential setting

Ability to time manage and prioritize
Demonstrated ability to maintain facility cleanliness using facility standards
QUALIFICATIONS: (education and work experience)
2+ years of client monitoring experience working directly with SUD populations
Basic academic knowledge and understanding of Substance Use
Demonstrated competency in using technology
May be registered with a state certifying SUD body (CCAPP/CADTP/CAADE)
Must have a CA driver’s license and good driving record in good standing
