Position Summary
Responsible for managing one of the various program implementation and delivery groups within the Delivery of Conservation & Load Management ("CLM") Programs and Products team - Residential Programs, Commercial & Industrial Programs, Planning & Evaluation, Program Delivery Operations, Finance & Reporting or Pilots & Partnerships. Optimize the delivery of CLM products, programs, and services to exceed goals, and maximize customer and shareholder value. Manages the assigned CLM team's day-to-day operation, including budgeting, regulatory approvals, technical and engineering support, project management, program performance, and metrics.
Position Description
The Position reports to and will be accountable to the Senior Manager of CLM programs. The Position will primarily be responsible for managing, delivering, and administering commercial and industrial ("C&I") CLM programs in Connecticut and Massachusetts for the Avangrid companies. The manager will manage a team of program managers, energy specialists, and engineers responsible for C&I program implementation. Further, the Position is accountable for achieving and exceeding regulatory and performance goals such as energy savings, spending, equity, and utility performance incentives. Additionally, the Position's responsibilities include coordination of work efforts, accountability for performance targets for the group, and supervision. Collaborate with functional business groups to understand and define business requirements, identify solutions, and coordinate
the implementation of the solution. The number of direct reports will range from approximately 8 to 11 FTEs.

- Assist the senior manager with the establishment, maintenance, and leveraging high-level relationships with outside parties who influence CLM programs and services. (EEB, NYSERDA, PUC's, Legislature, NEEP, etc.)
- Provide supervision, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to team members. Handle routine personnel issues. Contribute to establishing and maintaining a customer-focused work environment that recognizes achievement, rewards high performance, and promotes opportunity.
- Support and initiate training efforts to help strengthen employees' skills and knowledge to help advance their careers, strengthen the organization, and contribute to Avangrid's goal attainment.
- Coordinate and provide effective identification, communication, prioritization, justification, and documentation in the resolution of issues and projects within the end-to-end sales process incorporating functions within Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, IT, Legal, and other internal and external Strategic Business Partners
- Collaborate with regulators and other internal stakeholders to implement system changes to meet compliance initiatives and change customer and market expectations. Support and advocate on behalf of the Company through testimony and discovery processes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist senior manager in defining, measuring and improving Customer and Partner satisfaction levels through CLM product offerings.
- Implement strategies to promote CLM program offerings through trade shows, community activities, events, and personal contacts. Maintain familiarity with other processes to identify products and services that enhance cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure that all activities and processes comply with Sarbanes Oxley, Avangrid's business code of conduct, Rules of Employment, and all other pertinent company policies.
- Assist in establishing resource requirements, implementation of technology, goals, and objectives required to promote a clear direction and improve efficiency/reliability of processes.
Required Qualifications (Education, Years of or Specific Types of Experience, Required Computer Skills, Etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in energy efficiency, demand side management, electric/gas utilities, or other relevant experience
- Associates Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
- Minimum of three years of managing and leading diverse teams in the fast paced environment. Experience with managing people, providing feedback, performance management, setting goals, and motivating teams to perform required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications is required
Preferred Qualifications (Certifications, Specific Types of Experience,
Industry Experience, Desired Computer Skills, Etc.)
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP CRM, and/or other sales tracking Systems.
- Experience with Customer Service business processes.
- Experience directing or managing a large group of employees
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications
Additional Success Factors
- The Position requires leadership skills, analytical thought processes, and the ability to work well with other groups within Customer Service, Gas Operations, Legal, Regulatory, and Engineering.
- Partner and interact with Regulators, Municipal Leaders, and other policymakers as required
- Knowledge of Gas and Electric Rates
- Prior knowledge of customer-facing electric and natural gas energy efficiency programs is strongly preferred
- An understanding of the regulatory process and environment, including the regulatory filing process
- Knowledge of residential and commercial/industrial building systems and industrial processes, evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V), general marketing principles and market research techniques
- Ability to balance the administration of budgets, staffing needs, and performance management goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Certified Energy Manager or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional or Certified Demand Side Management Professional preferred
