As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the global development, implementation, and optimization of our Ad serving infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of targeted ads to our users. Role and Responsibilities

- Leadership and Strategy: Provide strong technical leadership and strategic direction to the Ad serving engineering team, driving innovation, and guiding the development of cutting-edge Ad serving solutions. Define the long-term vision and roadmap for our Ad serving infrastructure to maximize revenue generation and user engagement.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong knowledge of ad systems, ad targeting, ad formats, and the overall adtech. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our Ad serving capabilities remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Team Management: Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities to engineers. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes creativity, learning, and knowledge sharing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, data science, and business teams to understand Ad serving requirements, gather feedback, and translate business objectives into technical strategies. Work closely with operations teams to ensure reliable and scalable Ad serving operations.
- Technical Execution: Oversee the end-to-end global development and lifecycle of Ad serving systems, including architecture design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Ensure high-quality code, scalability, and performance optimization. Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, latency, and data accuracy.
- Data-Driven Approach: Utilize data analytics and insights to optimize ad targeting, user segmentation, and campaign performance. Leverage data-driven decision-making to enhance ad delivery algorithms and improve user experience.
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements
- Strong background in engineering leadership, with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in Ad serving or related to adtech
- Deep knowledge of ad systems, including ad serving platforms, ad exchanges, and programmatic advertising
- Proven experience in managing and scaling large-scale fault tolerant ad serving infrastructures or related infrastructures.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, coding languages (such as Java, Go), and modern frameworks
- Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies related to adtech is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience building and leading high performance teams of 15-30 engineers
- Experience leading and providing direction to geographically distributed teams

Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA is expected to be between $255,000 and $275,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
