Become a Senior Advisor, Employee Engagement at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll lead the employee engagement and employee lifecycle survey function.
Employee engagement efforts include administering the annual all-employee engagement survey, conducting pulse, new hire, and exit surveys, and developing insights and recommendations to drive continuous culture improvement. You will collaborate with various teams to streamline the employee engagement survey process, ensuring high data quality and efficiency. Additionally, you will present insights and recommendations to senior leaders to foster ongoing improvement.

Employee Engagement Strategy and Execution -
- Develop and implement comprehensive employee engagement and lifecycle surveys to capture relevant data across various stages of the employee experience. This includes leading the design and implementation of company-wide employee engagement surveys, overseeing content creation, managing technical logistics, facilitating meetings, and conducting roadshows and presentations.
- Collaborate with HR, leadership, our vendor, and other stakeholders to ensure surveys are aligned with organizational goals and employee needs.
- Find opportunities to enhance the current suite of employee surveys and make recommendations for modifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement survey plans, timelines, and process improvements.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Organizational Change Management (OCM) plan, drive communications, and employee-wide distribution.
- Provide input on survey design and support internal communications efforts as well as communicating survey results to key partners in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of engagement strategies.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for managers and employees on the importance of engagement surveys and how to interpret and act on survey results.
Post Survey interpretation & Action Planning -
- Analyze and interpret survey responses to assess employee sentiment based on survey responses, provide insightful recommendations to enhance employee engagement including closely assessing progress, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with engagement initiatives' objectives and desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with executives, vendors, HR professionals, and partners to conduct in-depth analyses of survey results and data including interpret and identify organizational strengths and opportunities for improvement, facilitate informed decision-making and targeted action planning.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Vendor Management -
- Comprehensive management of vendor relationships, budgeting, timeline management, contractual obligations, and performance monitoring to ensure smooth operation.
- Oversee various aspects such as participation agreements, vendor responsiveness, contract renewals, license assignments, and service level management, not only with survey vendors but also with other vendor partners.
The essentials
- 10 or more years of experience working on, leading and/or implementing large-scale survey or assessment projects.
The preferred
- Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Relations, Engineering, Operations Management or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and patterns, and translate insights into strategic decisions and actionable plans.
- Experience working with/presenting to all levels of leadership including senior executives and working with third party vendors.
- Experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, and SPSS, or similar statistical software.
- Strong leadership skills, including influencing and motivating others towards achieving common goals.
- Experience with HR Processes and working in various industries, such as utilities, manufacturing, or technology.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office suite, process mapping software, statistical analysis tools, etc.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and solution implementation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
You should know
- This positions work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
