We are looking to hire a Director of Clinical Services & Performance Improvement; this is a full-time, salaried position and is part of the dynamic leadership team at Pacific Grove Hospital. The DCS directs, plans, coordinates, monitors, and supervises clinical services and the delivery of behavioral health/clinical services. We are looking for someone that provides a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and the clinical staff. At Pacific Grove we recognize that patient safety is a top priority. Our patients are the priority at our hospital.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Direct and oversee clinical program operations, including budget management, developing clinical plans and independent decision making for program requiring clinical expertise.
- Provide clinical consultation, oversight of care planning, care coordination and supervision to the staff.
- Ensure that services are focused on the patients presenting problem and request for service.
- Provide clinical direction and leadership.
- Responsible for hiring and managing staff.
- Develop and implement operating policies and procedures for the facility.
- Ensure that procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocols, regulations, and standards of care.
- Develop processes for identification, collection, and analysis of performance measurement data.
- Utilize collected data regarding the outcome of activities for delivering continuously improving services.
Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of performance measurement data and related information
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Behavior Health/Social Work or closely related field.
- Four or more years’ behavioral health clinical experience preferred.
- Four or more years’ progressive managerial experience required.
- Must be able to supervise MSW and AMFT staff. Must be able to sign off on clinical hours
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Counselor (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) Required.
- CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility
Compensation for roles at Pacific Grove Hospital varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience.?As required by local law, Pacific Grove provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in as set forth below.

Salary Range 135,000.00 - 150,000.00
