Supervisor IP Phlebotomy - Monday-Friday
On call rotations

The Phlebotomy Supervisor monitors all Pre-analytical activities performed within Meritus Medical Center. In compliance with CLIA regulations, the Supervisor is charged with 24/7 oversite of all phlebotomy procedures to assure they meet prescribed standards. The Supervisor must also ensure appropriate training and compliance of all IP Phlebotomy team members to meet the high acuity and demands of inpatient collections at Meritus Medical Center. Additionally, the Supervisor must remain available for consultation with the pre-analytical team. This position performs functional duties in the Pre-Analytic phase in the Laboratory Path of Workflow.

Education – High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry preferred.

Experience – Five years of phlebotomy experience required. Progressive roles of increasing responsibility are highly desirable.

Licensure/Certification – Current BLS certification in compliance with policy required. Certification from approved phlebotomy program preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Must be proficient with neonates, infants, children, adults and the elder.
