Key Responsibilities For the R&D and Innovation Chef:
New Product Development: Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and development of new food products, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences, market trends, and brand strategy.
Recipe Formulation: Develop and refine recipes, considering factors such as ingredient sourcing, cost optimization, flavor profiles, and nutritional standards.
Culinary Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging food trends, culinary techniques, and ingredient innovations to inspire and inform new product development initiatives.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, operations, and quality assurance to ensure successful commercialization of new products.
Quality Assurance: Conduct sensory evaluations and product testing to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines, budgets, and milestones.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of recipes, formulations, and project-related documentation.
Supplier Relationships: Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and evaluate new ingredient options.
Cost Management: Optimize product formulations to meet target cost objectives without compromising quality or taste.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications for the Research and Development Lead for the food manufacturing company are:
Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Chef or Culinary R&D Specialist within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong culinary skills and a passion for food innovation.
Knowledge of food science, ingredient functionality, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and recipe management software.
