Position Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Tech Level 3 is expected to be competent with multiple maintenance disciplines and can work to solve many facility issues. This associate may require assistance from time to time but for the most part they work on their own. This associate exhibits strong communication skills and can work effectively with cross functional teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately records processes and procedures
• Knows and follows the Compressed Gas policy and understands the Facility/Production Interaction
• Appropriately applies ESC support policies by conducting the related activities
• Operates powered industrial equipment such as scissor list, forklift, floor scrubber, overhead crane and hoist.
• Performs general utility maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, floor dotting, drain maintenance, and battery replacement with minimal direction
• Complete entry level preventative maintenance such as ice machine, floor cracks, and oil distribution system.
• Able to perform basic carpentry
• Ability to follow standard work and testing procedures within complex systems to include but not limited to Fire suppression, Generator, CO2, and Clean Room.
• Ability to use the proper skills / equipment with lockout / tagout, compressed gas, and proper fall protection
• Is knowledgeable about and follows the confined space requirements
• Ability to test Building Fire Suppression System and performs months extinguisher inspections
• Have a general understanding of security and alarm systems
• Coordinates the completion of custodial services
• Ensures contractor compliance with all Swagelok policies
• Understands when contractor quotes are required
• Recognizes and respond to HVAC problems
• Diagnoses and corrects plumbing problems
• Submits supply orders
• Understands contractor management and provides safety and policy oversight to contractors
• Completes basic fabrication, electrical work, plumbing and pipe fittings
• Is becoming more knowledgeable about plumbing maintenance, starting to widen the scope to include pipe fitting, air, and water drops.
• Provide luncheon and meeting set up support
• Performs building support activities such as building cubicles, controlling pests, and moving furniture.
• Has a basic understanding of rigging principles and safety.
• Entry level understanding of electrical prints and replace contacts, fuses, and relays with assistance.
• Provides support for lean events.
• Has an understanding of the lean toolbox (i.e. 5S, CEDAC, Standard Work, etc.)
Education and/or Work Requirements:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of applicable maintenance experience.
o 2 year technical degree is equivalent to 1 year experience
o 4 year degree is equivalent to 2 years experience.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to operate and successfully complete the Swagelok internal Powered Industrial Equipment training
