Job Description
The metrology manager is responsible for maintaining and repairing the laboratory equipment. This is accomplished by directing a team of four metrologists and actively participating in the equipment repairs and maintenance. The manager is also responsible for coordinating equipment repairs with outside service providers.
IQ/OQ/PQ Support – Draft IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and provide resources to execute these projects or oversee outside vendors performing these tasks. Accurately update validated components and maintain LIMS instrument database entries. Perform periodic review for stability chambers.
Technical Writing – Author and review instrument validation deliverables in accordance with established validation program. Assist with developing/enhancing instrumentation procedures. Author and review Metrology department SOPs.
Maintenance of LIMS data for all laboratory equipment.
Manage work assignment and development of four metrologists
Compliance - Ensure projects are completed in compliance with existing quality systems. Provide support to implement new quality systems and programs.
Applies GMP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
Assist with research of instrumentation with information obtained from vendors, manuals, and other resources to introduce duplicate/similar instruments and software. Assist with integration of instrumentation into existing data center environments and workflows.
Training - Provide guidance and coaching within a team environment. Provide training to technical groups.
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, microbiology, biology, engineering, computer science, or other related degree concentration
At least 4 years’ experience repairing and maintaining HPLC systems
At least 2 year experience managing direct reports
At least 4 years’ experience with GMP documentation
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Diego, CA are encouraged to apply.
Position Salary Range- $75,000- 100,000 based on experience and education
