We are looking for a/an Application Mechanical Engineer - Vertical Pumps to join our FE_Energy team in United States.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Use in-house developed software to select optimal pumps and generate pump curve. Run pump losses and pressure boundaries calculations, creation of the preliminary general arrangement drawing for the select pump and provide full mechanical review and cost estimation data.
Act as a liaison between tendering and the order related engineering.
Reviews and advises on customer RFQs, drawings and specifications as required. Support sales with pump related questions.
On receipt of an order, assists Project Management and Engineering in the order review process to ensure that the quotation and customer requirements are understood.
Supports Sales with customer meeting as requested.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in companywide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME) or equivalent is required.
2-5 years related experience in rotating equipment, ideally vertically suspended pumps.
Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills (written and oral skills in English language, required to communicate with internal and external customers).
Strong attention to detail balanced by the ability to prioritize activities.
Proficient in math and computer skills required (Word, Excel, Power Point, SAP, FileMaker and Teamcenter).
Highly organized with ability to handle multiple projects with quick turnaround requirements.
Proven ability to resolve problems independently and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
