Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Project Manager (Interior Design, Real Estate Development and Facilities).
The mission of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F) Department is to plan, develop, operate and maintain the campus of the NYU Langone Health and provide the foundation for its growth and success in the 21st century. RED+F provides strategic campus planning and project development services, including architectural studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to existing structures on the NYU Langone Health campus. The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure and related support services across the medical center.
RED+F is composed of the Real Estate, Housing, Planning & Project Development, Facilities Operations & Management, Finance & Administration, Campus Security, Environmental Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and Clinical Engineering divisions.
Overall role and primary responsibilities: Reporting to NYU Langone Health Senior Interior Designer the Assistant Project Manager, Interior Design will assist with creating and maintain the NYULH design aesthetic across all areas of the campuses. They will review work of and assist Project Coordinator(s) as well as the Interior Intern(s). They will also be in charge of reviewing projects and establishing schedules for project completion. Project types vary from Office Interiors, Healthcare Interiors to Education and public spaces.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete and evaluate information from Post occupancy surveys.
- Assist the Senior Interior Designer on multiple projects;
- Review work of and assist Project Coordinator(s) and Interior Intern(s).
- Meet with Architects and evaluate project finishes and verify NYULH guidelines are being followed.
- Assist with in-house design projects from start to completion, maintaining schedules as required.
- Research and oversee development of materials library and assist in updating Interior Library.
- Specify furniture, track furniture orders, and oversee all aspects of furniture installations.
- Evaluate products to ensure they perform in accordance with NYULH standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in Interior Healthcare design.
- Bachelors degree in Interior Design.
- Should be proficient in Auto Cad, Power Point, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to work on multiple projects;
- Strong aesthetic sensibility;
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
- Basic understanding of construction project management and project scheduling
- Good Design aesthetic
- Good judgment and reasoning ability
- High ethical and moral standards
- Ability to communicate clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in related fields preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $70,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
