Position Summary:
The PMO Manager will lead day to day operations for the UC Health IT Project Management Office’s applications portfolio, including accountability for the delivery of projects and programs to set scope, time and budget targets. Leads a team of experienced project and program managers, ensuring a high functioning organization and with responsibility for line management activities including hiring, training and performance management. Incumbent will work with the PMO Director to plan and manage utilization, including responsibility for hiring and management of consulting resources as needed. Acts as the first point of contact for project managers for issue escalation and resolution. They will ensure projects have a proper governance structure and that key stakeholders are identified and engaged. Incumbent will supervise execution of the monthly applications portfolio review, and work with the PMO Director on strategic level reporting and planning. Will also act as a proponent for the UPlan PPM tool and ensure complete and accurate usage by team members for time entry, allocation planning and accurate project reporting. Incumbent will work the PMO Director to develop processes and policies to improve the delivery capabilities and raise overall level of PMO process maturity, being instrumental in driving a culture of high standards and efficient project execution. They will also communicate and reinforce the utilization and adherence of projects and programs to IT phase gate processes and standards. Acts as a project manager for one or more projects, either for management of the full delivery lifecycle or stepping in to cover for team absence, course correct troubled projects or for other temporary measures.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $111,200.00 Midpoint $163,100.00 Maximum $215,000.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to manage and engage other professionals
Ability to plan strategically, develop objectives and implement tactical plans to achieve desired outcomes
Ability to effectively plan for and optimally manage resources
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple large projects
Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and training
Advanced level knowledge of healthcare systems applications to be able to successfully plan and coordinate activities in this area of systems analysis and serve as a key resource to staff and others across the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
4 plus years of experience with management/lead experience in an information technology organization
4-7 years’ experience working in project management in an Information Systems environment.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and to analyze and interpret data in order to draw valid conclusions for complex business issues
Able to translate complex information to a novice level and able to understand the needs of the university and translate that into solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
Knowledge of medical and academic industry structures
