Overview/Purpose:
Manage the flow of Hain Finished Goods in and out of the Allentown, PA DC. Holding our 3PL providers accountable to key KPI’s in service and cost. Responsible for performance with Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Inventory, and Variety Pack Production Processes. Influence the 3PL management teams to deliver on objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, On Time Delivery and Growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage warehouse and variety production in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversight of receiving, warehousing, distribution, VAS production performance in service and expense.
- Oversee and collaborate with 3PL to ensure we adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping regulatory requirements
- Oversee and influence team to manage stock control and reconcile inventory appropriately (xcode, loss, cycle counting, annual PI)
- Ownership and accountability for annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies as needed
- Give/receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Work with Cross-Functional Teams and directly support Operations
Requirements:
- Understanding of all modes of transportation (air, ocean, small package, LTL, Truckload, etc.)
- Complete knowledge of all distribution methods (Third Party Logistics, Trailer Pool Management, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods Distribution environment preferred
- Two years of Continuous Improvement, Total Quality or Team Based Management experience or equivalent preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to actively participate in leadership management training and support activities
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, meet deadlines, multi-task with a positive, can-do attitude
- An outgoing, solution-oriented, people-centered management style
- Ability to problem solve and make timely decisions
- Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
- Ability to meet attendance guidelines.
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection if necessary.
