Job Description
As an Expeditor at Elevate Entertainment Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to our guests. You will act as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the serving team, ensuring that orders are prepared correctly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and organize food orders to ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate the flow of orders.
- Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before they are delivered to guests.
- Ensure that all food items meet company standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the kitchen and serving staff. Relay any special requests, modifications, or concerns promptly.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders quickly and efficiently.
- Communicate any delays or problems to the Kitchen Manager and servers.
- Assist kitchen staff with plating and garnishing dishes as needed. Ensure that all food is prepared according to the restaurants specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized expediting station. Ensure that all utensils, plates, and food items are properly stored and handled.
- Work closely with kitchen and serving staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Skills + Abilities included but are not limited to:
- High safety, sanitation and food handling standards
- Able to take direction and work together as a team
- Work calmly and execute job duties effectively under pressure
- Hospitality-minded attitude; friendly, outgoing and guest focused
Education + Experience + Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED certificate
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- State Food Handler certificate required
- Previous experience as a prep or line cook preferred
- Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Able to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights and repetitive motion
