Position Summary
The Senior Director of eCommerce B2B Marketing will support SMB (Small and Medium Business) and EPP (Employee Partner Program) areas. It is an aggressively growing business unit within Samsung’s eCommerce business and is slated to be one of the next growth engines. These programs are across all of Samsung’s product lines; mobile, home electronics, and home appliances. SMB & EPP services each audience on a segment level to meet their needs. This person in this specific role would be the P&L leader for these two segments. It is expected that this person provides thought leadership, brings in best-of-class practices from previous experiences, and is an expert in Marketing and Business Development.
Role and Responsibilities
P&L Leader for SMB and EPP segments (for eCommerce), with revenue potential of +$1B
Develop the Infrastructure within Samsung eCommerce, which would constitute setting the right organization, developing the right cases and value proposition, and leading the GTM and associated business models
Lead the business development activities, while actively partnering with broader Marketing leadership to develop and achieve Marketing priorities
Drive revenue within a specific market segment across all of Samsung’s product categories
Drive new and incremental engagement from partners within the program
Harvest partners for incremental revenue opportunities
Execute on programs that will drive engagement/revenue
Partner cross-functionally with category managers to inform business unit needs
Partner cross-functionally with marketing to define market segment needs and opportunities
Provide valuable segment insights to business and cross-functional leaders
Provide weekly, and monthly reporting of all relevant segment metrics
Skills and Qualifications
10+ Sales and Marketing experience in direct B2B, with specific focus in SMB
5+ years of technology or telecommunications experience
3+ years of business development experience
3+ years of experience working with, or for, a Fortune 1000 organization
Executive presence, and experience in reporting to C-level leadership in a Fortune 1000 company
Strong understanding of SMB space
Strong communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to effectively communicate business insights and requirements
Experience with EPP programs and/or partnership with HR/benefits managers preferred
MBA highly preferred
