Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Manager at our Burbank, CA location.

Job Summary:
The Talent Development Manager provides strategy and direction to ensure the effective implementation of learning and development initiatives for Crane Aerospace and Electronics. This position assesses A&E development needs to drive training initiatives, identifying, and organizing suitable learning solutions in the process. This position partners with leaders across the company to help align the workforce with key business strategies and initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Support our learning management system (LMS) for effective delivery of learning solutions. Maintain content and documentation within LMS system. Update current content based on organizational needs and compliance changes. Develop new content in partnership with business leaders and HR.
- Design and deliver learning solutions through a variety of mediums, including e-learning courses, instructor-led workshops, group activities, coaching, mentoring, etc.
- Manage the ongoing deployment of the Leadership Development Curriculum for Crane Aerospace and Electronics and continually refine and improve to ensure the program is meeting its goals. This includes creating processes, sharing feedback, and reporting on results.
- In collaboration with HR and Business leaders, drive Crane’s annual Talent Management processes and cadence – our IC (Intellectual Capital) process. Create and execute broad learning strategies and programs to meet organizational goals.
- Support execution of centralized talent development initiatives such as onboarding, knowledge transfer process, career pathing and development programs.
- Engage with broader A&E HR leadership team and HR functional areas in support of project work, Crane Business System (CBS), and Continuous Improvement. Ensure consistency and alignment of training with other HR initiatives.
- Assess the success of learning solutions to make continuous modifications to our content.
- Create and maintain effective records and processes related to L&D initiatives that enable compliance with domestic and international laws (data security, compliance, etc.).
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent management efforts, using data to adjust programs/practices and regularly reporting progress to the leadership team.
- Directly manage and develop 1 direct report (Sr. Learning Specialist).
- Support other HR project work as necessary to meet business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience required in an Organizational Development or Training capacity within a manufacturing environment with 2+ years of people management.
- Prior experience developing e-learning educational programs and managing an LMS.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques.
- Business-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience leading and delivering cross-functional projects outside of current department.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in planning and organizing – forward-thinking to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven skills in the areas of needs assessment, program implementation and evaluation.
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to influence.
- Strong skills in: MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet, PowerPoint.
- Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree and/or additional education/certification in Training, Education and/or coaching strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with the aerospace, aviation, and/or electronics manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Prior experience in Articulate and SharePoint a plus.

Salary range: $126,300 to $160,800. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
