Baxter & Woodman has a fulfilling opportunity for a Graduate Engineer I in our Houston, TX office. We are looking for qualified applicants to start in 2024.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Responsible for assisting Project Manager(s) by providing engineering design support on various municipal projects.
- Assist with the preparation of construction plans and specifications, design calculations, various engineering reports and feasibility studies, bond application reports, quantity and cost estimates, and schedules.
- Periodically conduct on-site observation of construction project progress, take measurements, and coordinate with field project representatives and contractors.
- Work assignments will include working independently and as part of a team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodmans service area (own transportation).
- Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in Texas or be capable of passing, transferring, or taking the exam within the first six months of employment.
- Ability to start in 2024.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
