General purpose: The Facilities Assistant is responsible for helping Facilities technicians in completing daily work orders, and preventative maintenance tasks.

Works safely with Facilities technicians in executing work orders
Serve as a labor resource for event support and snow/ice removal (weekends included)
Work independently on the completion of annual apartment PMs during the summer months
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist Facilities technicians
Event support
Snow and ice removal
Use of hand tools
Troubleshooting and problem-solving
Communicate effectively
Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of: campus buildings, Bolton Hill neighborhood, MICA work order system, work order process, surface knowledge building trades a plus
Skills: use of hand tools (screwdriver, tape measure, etc.) and painting equipment (brushes, rollers, etc.). Safe use of ladders, hand trucks, and furniture dollies.
Ability to: Observe, troubleshoot, problem solve, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
