Position Overview
Primary responsibility is managing all sales and marketing activities for the company. This role provides leadership for all activities of the customer service representatives (CSRs), manages the sales function, including all manufacturer representative organizations (reps) and direct sales employees.
Primary Job Functions
Responsible for staffing, training, and performance management of CSRs, reps, and Direct Sales personnel.
Develop and refine training materials and curriculum for CSRs.
Establish, develop, distribute, and oversee sales territories across various CSRs, reps, and Direct Sales.
Maintain key account contacts and assign to appropriate personnel.
Assist in the development of new key accounts.
Create, prepare, and distribute all sales materials (sales presentations, brochures, business cards, website content, etc.).
Monitor, evolve, and improve the company website to optimize customer lead generation.
Develop and optimize Contact Management in Plex (ERP system) to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales approaches and results.
Prepare periodic sales reports showing actual sales volume (revenue) and potential sales (backlog).
Work with the Sales team to prepare and refine the annual sales forecast for the annual Board Meeting.
Maintain and update procedures and policies related to the Sales/Customer Service functions.
Represent the company at various customer, supplier, industry, and/or community meetings to promote and network the company (involves travel).
Provide learnings and opportunities reports post-event.
Job Functions
Participate in team meetings/projects.
Participate in 6S activities and Continuous Improvements activities.
Participate in the internal auditing system as required by the quality management system.
Entry Requirements
Must be a US Person.
Strong technological understanding of mechanical components and job shop manufacturing.
Experience working in and around highly-technical markets, including but not limited to aerospace, space, defense, nuclear power generation, medical devices, automotive, etc.
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
Willingness to travel.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Experience with contract negotiation and change management.
Good English reading and writing skills.
Basic Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.).
Positive attitude, good oral and written communication skills, and a team player.
