Position Overview: The Healthy Start Program Coordinator will support the implementation and management of the Healthy Start initiative within Harris County Public Health (HCPH). This role involves coordinating activities, supporting partnerships, and ensuring program objectives are met to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of program strategies and activities, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.
Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, coordinating collaborative efforts to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
Oversee data collection, management, and analysis to monitor program progress and outcomes, preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders and funding agencies.
Plan and conduct community outreach activities to promote Healthy Start services, developing educational materials and conducting training sessions for staff and community partners.
Support program staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback, ensuring adherence to program protocols and standards.
Assist in monitoring program budget and expenditures, work with the finance office to prepare financial reports and ensuring alignment with grant requirements.
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to maternal and child health.
Provide direct support and resources to program participants as needed, facilitating access to healthcare and social services.
Identify areas for program improvement and support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous quality assurance and program fidelity.

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Social Work, or a related field.
Experience:
One (1) year experience performing administrative office duties in a health care setting
Demonstrated experience in community outreach, partnership development, and staff supervision.
Licenses:
Valid TX driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in MS office Suite (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment
