Manhattan College, an NCAA Division I institution, is looking for a part-time Assistant Baseball Coach to join the Athletics Department. The Assistant Coach will play a key role in recruiting, developing, and retaining skilled student-athletes for the Baseball Program under the guidance of the Head Coach.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes.
- Assist in preparing for practices and setting up game day fields.
- Organize team meals and contribute to the Strength and Conditioning Program.
- Utilize ARMS software system efficiently.
- Attend department meetings regularly.
- Maintain and care for sports equipment.
- Collaborate with baseball student-athletes on Summer Baseball Programs.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with student-athletes, colleagues, and administrators.
- Assist with fundraising activities and enhance alumni relations.
- Willingly take on other assigned duties for the program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years coaching experience at the Division I level.
- Demonstrated assertiveness, motivation, resourcefulness, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of NCAA, MAAC, and institutional regulations in intercollegiate athletics.
- Ability to work effectively with various campus constituents.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and willingness to travel, work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in fostering positive relationships and partnerships with diverse groups.
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Capable of effective teamwork with coaches, students, faculty, administration, alumni, and the community.
Salary:
$50,000
