The Job
The Sheriff's Department is recruiting for Sheriff's Facilities Coordinators to coordinate remodeling of department buildings, maintenance of buildings, security, communications, and automated systems. Duties include maintaining building security access; working with project managers; serving as a liaison with vendors; ensuring work is completed; and monitoring, recording, retrieval and workings of the inmate phone system and identification process.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1) Background: Prior to appointment, applicants will be fingerprinted and must pass an extensive background investigation, including a polygraph examination. Applicants must not have been convicted of a felony. 2) Shift: The jail facilities operate 24/7, and require maintenance any time of the day or night; therefore, the ideal candidate is available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call. 3) License: Travel throughout the county will be required. A valid California Class C driver license or equivalent is required at time of appointment.
4)Sponsorship:Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: One (1) year full-time equivalent experience coordinating remodels, system upgrades, or projects for telecommunications, alarms, secured entry, and other electronic or computerized systems/equipment for commercial buildings. Experience should include working with and scheduling contractors and following up on work progress.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coordinating, scheduling, and implementing remodeling and new construction activities within a correctional environment.
