Job Summary:
Evaluate, select, and apply advanced level mechanical engineering techniques to the new design, construction, renovation, and maintenance of assigned projects. The desired candidate must be able to balance a mixture of engineering design and field implementation. This position be responsible for the full product lifecycle including Design, R&D, Testing, Field Installation, Field Commissioning, and Continuous Improvement.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and installation of multiple engineering-based projects. Projects typically consist of new equipment design, new equipment construction, and refurbishment of existing used equipment.
- Lead the conceptual development, design, and implementation of complex, large-scale manufacturing equipment and oversee its organization, scheduling, cost control, and implementation.
- Provide hands-on operational field support to all manufacturing facilities including technical based troubleshooting of equipment, modifications of existing equipment, and installation of new equipment.
- Includes on-site and indirect management of various contractors and technicians to perform work within NOV Tuboscope facilities.
- Review, comment, and modify consultant or in-house prepared design drawings for compliance with numerous regulatory agencies.
- Use of AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, and Siemens NX to complete engineering design projects successfully and within budget.
- Create, review, and modify equipment drawings utilizing Team Center.
- Develop and maintain successful business relationships with NOV Tuboscope vendors.

- 2-5 years of full-time professional engineering experience with an emphasis on Mechanical Engineering & Equipment Design.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 15 Years’ Experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering with solid R&D Mechanical Designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college, university or technical school.
- Must be familiar with and capable of producing and modifying AutoCAD & AutoDesk Inventor Drawings of equipment and facility layouts as well as SolidWorks.
- Travel requirements are considered low (below 25%), including both international and domestic travel.
