Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Contract & Business Affairs Director to manage & negotiate complex multi-party contracts within the media/entertainment/content streaming industry. The individual will have the ability to research and analyze data, with excellent project management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize workload, and manage partner expectations, while possessing a comprehensive understanding of contract law. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with clients and partners to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Comcast and Charter Communications will form a 50/50 joint venture that will bring our world-class Flex streaming platform, 4K streaming devices, voice remote and XClass TVs nationwide. You will want to join our innovative team, because together we will develop and offer consumers a next-generation streaming platform, with a world-class user experience and navigation and all the top apps, bringing more choice to the streaming marketplace. Comcast also will contribute XUMO to the joint venture, our free ad-supported service that currently delivers more than 200 unique streaming channels and features hundreds of free content choices.
Job Description
Highly Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- 10 years + experience working on media, acquisition and distribution contracts – rev share, inventory split, flat licenses, etc.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the media industry and a passion for managing & negotiating complex multi-party contracts.
- Broad knowledge and passion for media, entertainment, and content
- Ability to research and analyze data
- Excellent project management, organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload, and manage partner expectations.

Additional Information:
- Position is office based in Philadelphia, PA-- 4 days/week & 1 day remote or Irvine, CA.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead all deal management functions, including drafting and negotiating contracts, managing rights, terms, and renewals, as well as interpreting deal structures and protections.
- Negotiate complex multi-party contracts in line with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Disseminating relevant contract summaries and partner updates across key internal stakeholders including content operations, editorial, ad operations, finance, and legal
- Prepare business term sheets and contract analysis for upcoming deal negotiations and inquiries from senior management.
- Provide key business and legal support to both acquisition and distribution teams.
- Coordinate priorities and deadlines with external and internal legal teams.
- Assist in updating and auditing documents and rights management and content systems to ensure compliance for all content available on our service.
- Assist with internal projects and regular and ad hoc management presentations.
- Interacts with diverse internal and external customers including corporate business units, other divisions, vendors, multiple internal departments and other business contacts.
- Execute competitive financial and strategic planning.
- Negotiates all acquisition deals with third party vendors, liaising with Company's legal and accounting teams regarding contracts and deliverables.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Compensation
This job can be performed in California with a Pay Range of $184,999.58 - $290,112.98
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
