Broadridge is hiring! This is a contract role to work remotely, initially. The Quality Assurance Analyst with SQL is primarily responsible for performing manual and automation functional testing for a suite of products. The role will focus on the analyst's ability to understanding testing requirements, test case creation, test execution, and reporting test results for to all partners for assigned projects. You will be an individual contributor who is responsible for the preparation of test data, test planning and execution, reporting on testing status.
Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
· Work as part of an agile team, building trust with the business to achieve organizational, business owner, and process owner goals
· Help BRACS organization in building comprehensive QA process, and working with BAs and developers to implement Quality Control procedures.
· Work closely with product team to gather and verify requirements for test scenarios that match client use cases as well as conveying requirements to team members (domestic and off-shore)
· Build test plans based on the product pipeline and scheduled development work
· Managing both functional testing for business applications and UX testing of the front-end tools.
· Play a critical role in setting a minimum viable product for each application/project
· Participate in review and problem resolution of the issue tickets submitted by clients.
· Provide front line support to development and work directly with business stakeholders to resolve application issues
· Must be able to lead, manage and train others in the proper process used in a QA test environment
· Experience with standard QA tools and principles in order to help build correct processes
· Having a Financial Services background - Broker Dealer operations / Commissions Processing / Mutual Fund / Variable annuities processing is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems or related field
- 5 + years of QA experience and software testing required.
- Understanding of financial services terms and products is a significant plus.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and work collaboratively within cross-functional groups.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices, QA testing protocols and agile approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to work with team members effectively and expeditiously.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio and intermediate level experience of SQL queries.
- Basic understanding of an automation framework and writing automation test cases.
- Passion around driving best practices in the testing space.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- ISTQB (or similar) certification preferred.
- Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality.
- Willingness to take challenges head on while being part of a team.
