Responsibilities As the Leader, Product Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company's products meet all relevant plumbing, building, and electrical codes, as well as product standards, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of codes and standards, as well as a keen awareness of regulatory frameworks governing product compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee product development, testing, and documentation processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Oversight: Monitor and interpret plumbing, electrical, and building codes, standards, and regulations to ensure that all products meet the necessary requirements. Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards relevant to plumbing products and communicate implications to the product development team. Conduct regular audits of product documentation, specifications, and testing procedures to verify compliance. Regulatory Guidance: Provide guidance and expertise on regulatory requirements related to plumbing products to internal stakeholders, including product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Collaborate with external regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and industry organizations to stay informed about evolving compliance standards and best practices. Product Development Support: Work closely with product development teams to integrate compliance considerations into the design and development process. Review product designs and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards from the initial concept phase through to production. Testing and Certification: Coordinate product testing with accredited laboratories to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Manage the certification process for products, including preparing documentation and submissions for regulatory approvals. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, test results, and certifications for all products. Prepare compliance reports and documentation for internal review and regulatory submissions as required. Product Standard Committee Participation Regularly contribute to the development of industry codes and product standards via committee participation as well as working with industry trade groups. Qualifications Remote, with the availability to be onsite when needed in Piscataway, NJ. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product compliance, preferably in the plumbing industry. In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and standards such as ASME A112.18 and ASME A112.19 series of standards, as well as CSA B45 and CSA B125, including IAPMO industry standards. Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing plumbing products, including DOE, California CEC, and ADA standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to product development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Hiring Range The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $91,000.00-129,000.00 annually. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
