We currently Seeking an experienced engine builder/assembler that is organized and detailed oriented to join our team as an Engine Propulsion Technician supporting our Adelanto, CA location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-production and production engine building, teardown inspections, measurement inspections, sub-assembly, production readiness and training.
Must be able to document and track engine and parts non-conformances, recommended countermeasures, record detailed engine information to maintain history files.
May need to perform engine and propeller testing to analyze and troubleshoot engine and performance problems. Will aid in preparing engine build procedures and documentation to ensure engine consistency and quality control.
Will also be responsible for shop maintenance, tool control and consumable inventory.
Experience using PCs with MS Office software and maintaining databases. Must have excellent communication skills; ability to work in team environment and able to work under minimal supervision; ability to be self-directed, detailed oriented who can effectively work well under pressure in a diverse environment.
Additional tasks under general supervision with limited review:
Fabricates, assembles, and installs simple laboratory and commercial equipment or experimental apparatus.
Operates lab and experimental equipment; collects and summarizes data.
Cleans, adjusts, and replaces parts on lab and experimental equipment.
Sets up and checks out semi-routine experiments and tests according to pre-arranged procedures, records experimental data.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Performs housekeeping and cleanup duties as required.
Other duties as assigned or required.

Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent with two or more years of experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Minimum of 5 years professional engine builder/assembler experience, or heavy line automotive dealership service technician experience. - Preferred
Automotive or aircraft painting experience required.
Must be able to wear PPE daily while performing tasks.
Must be able to work with common hand tools.
Must be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.
Ability and willingness to work on systems which have unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials.
Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field required.
