POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and executing: With AVP Sales and Product, strategize and execute a plan to profitably grow territory to meet/exceed the premium and policies in force as planned for the territory. Manage production versus plan and take corrective actions. Assist and develop direct reports in same.
- Communication: Regular meetings with direct reports to keep them informed and up to date on company changes. Regular meetings with AVP Sales, Product and underwriting to discuss territory issues.
- Management, training and travel: Travel with direct reports to key accounts. Evaluate market knowledge, sales and computer skills of direct reports, assist direct reports with agency and personnel related issues, audit direct reports on execution of plan.
- Documentation and paperwork: Timely submission of all needed documentation for planning, monthly reports, etc.
- Special projects: as assigned.
- Professional Development: Attend periodic sales and education meetings as provided by the company. Seek assistance and advice from General Manager for career development and pathing. Attend and participate in industry related classes which further job proficiency.
- Plan and participate in company meetings, agent functions, and trade shows/conventions
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Build & nurture relationships with assigned National & Key Accounts
- Includes prospecting and appointing new agent/broker opportunities that will be a good fit to sell KA products
- Interacts with C-Suite>Mid-Management>Location Level Managers

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 10 years of insurance sales management experience is preferable or comparable sales/marketing management experience
- Extensive knowledge of insurance operations: claims, coverages, products and underwriting is preferable to effectively communicate with agents
- A very strong comfort level of interpreting statistical data from company reports is also necessary
- Required to possess effective written communication skills and be an exceptional public speaker
- Must be flexible in nature and a highly motivated self-starter
- An advanced ability of operating computers (PC) is necessary
- Position requires a balance between technical proficiency and being a capable people developer
- Should demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Must be a logical problem solver
- This is a remote role. Work can be performed out of a home office in the southern states region. The qualified candidate will need to travel to multiple states within the area regularly.

The range for this position is t$78,800 to $135,000. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and Kemper benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
