Summary:
The Analyst – Fleet is the main support for maintenance analysis and approvals, mileage reporting, and accident management. This position is also responsible for evaluating replaced vehicles to determine if they are redeployable, and for assisting in the management of the Telematics program in a fleet of approximately 8,000 light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, as well as DOT trailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide technical direction and coordination to operations for support and maintenance of vehicles; daily communications with fleet drivers and automotive repair shops and body shops.
· Analyze specific repair requirements and value to evaluate the most economical solution for the Company to maintain minimum business interruption.
· Key communication skills to be able to discuss maintenance and vehicle condition with field operations drivers and management.
· Analyze replaced vehicle condition and repair history to determine which vehicles are options for redeployment.
· Manage Telematics program for fleet, which includes placing orders, setting up management groupings within the Geotab database, responding to data requests related to accidents, and interpreting and communicating data to management.
· Perform a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgement and technical knowledge.
· Assist in ordering and disposing of Company owned fleet, as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
· Previous experience (2-3 years) of automotive fleet administration or mechanical service experience. DOT standards & industry practices a plus
· Software knowledge requirements: Outlook, Excel, and SAP a plus. Possess the ability to learn new software products.
· Proficient professional communication skills to deal with situations under stressful situations.
· Ability to work in a professional manner regardless of the situation.
· Ability to deal with a high volume of data, be highly organized, and have good time management skills.
· Must be able to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
· Must be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to work independently, with little supervision.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
Working Conditions:

- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
