Position Summary:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-orientated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills, dependability, flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow are important qualities to succeed in the role.

The Senior Tax Manager will be a key player in our day-to-day tax function, working directly with the Director, Tax Operations to ensure timely preparation and accurate filing of all income tax returns, preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and supporting workpapers, and improve existing processes. This position will also work, at times, directly with Tax Department leadership on various analyses, special projects, and company initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Manages 1-2 tax staff accountants solely dedicated to income tax provision and compliance.
• Manages external advisors to prepare and file income tax returns in approximately 25 countries.
• Manages external advisors to prepare and file the Company’s consolidated federal income tax return and income tax returns in all U.S. states.
• Coordinates with colleagues in Finance and IT to streamline and improve reporting processes.
• Manages tax audits and controversies, and responds to tax notices as required.
• Recommends tax strategies and tax positions by applying research skills.
• Maintains tax-related account reconciliations and required SOX documentation.
• Assists with special projects as requested by management.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reads professional publications, maintains personal networks, and participates in professional organizations.
• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
• Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
• Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 4-7 years of income tax provision and compliance experience.
• Well organized, detail oriented and team player capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong functional knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of One Source Tax Provision a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• CPA or Masters in Tax a plus.
